cap'n kids & The Keg

heather and i decided to take the kids to an indoor playplace. it was loud and insane.

ezekiel is trying to give high fives through the net.

diedre shows off her new talents. last time we were here was about 6 months ago. she was afraid of the slides and would wait up top FOREVER. this time, she went right down. it was really sweet watching her conquer her fears :)

swinging

she loves hanging from rings and such so i got her to "do it for daddy" so i could take a picture.

(baby's been wanting this for awhile now)

i was so impressed with the service and the way our server treated the kids. we ordered two kid's apple juices and a basket of fries (which was actually really small) for the kids and then we were just going to share our steak and lobster with them.
After delivering the apple juices, the server brought out a large plate for each kid that had veggies (2 carrot sticks, 2 celery sticks), with dip, a package of crackers and 3 orange slices.
Later, diedre asked for more oranges and since our meals were each $38, i figure, hey, why not just ask? so i asked the server and she brought out a plate with another orange sliced up and some baby mandarins too.
At the end of our meal, our server brought an ice cream cup for each of them with a cherry on top.
So, the shocker at the end was that the ONLY thing on the bill for the kids was a $2.95 charge for fries! everything else was complimentary (or at least i hope so, because it didnt even occur to us that maybe it was a mistake! ha ha! i just figured since we were spending so much and getting drinks too that they were just trying to help make the experience a good one--which it was).
